You should refrain from spreading lies and unfounded rumors. One thing right-wingers really have no leg to stand on is Barry being a pussy. He has stepped up the war against the Taliban in Afghanistan. He has stepped up the covert drone war against Pakistani militants. He killed bin Ladin and has other Al Qaeda leaders targeted. He ordered the killing of Somali pirates. He issued targeted assassination orders against terrorists that are US citizens, something even Bush never did. He bombed Qadaffi and that is still ongoing. He has given the Pentagon everything that they asked for. Keep looking for something to call an Obama failure, but you won't find it in military preparedness, military response, audacity, or the willingness to use US power.
this is correct and has been from the start. bin laden was always a liar when he claimed things would change relative to foreign policy. and that goodness he is a liar. all his crap about being anti-war was nonsense in practive, he knows how necessary aggro policy is. he isnt actually gonna close guantanamo, he was just looking for votes. edit: i actually genuinely made a mistake above and called obama "bin laden". in the paragraph above i clearly meant obama, not bin laden. i am worse than katie couric so far osama, i mean obama has basically been george bush with regards to foreign policy. and that is exactly what he should do. true enough, obama is basically george bush. except obama is making an even stronger effort to ruin the world economy with government spending. the only difference is that george bush was far less likely to raise taxes. this is huge, of course.
I would have expected lasalle to be all over this "just like bush" talk. I have got to admit that there isn't very much to cry about when it comes to Obama and the use of the military to fight the war on terror. I guess all the talk before he was elected changed once he began getting the classified CIA briefings. There is no telling what he found out after he was elected that changed his mind. I'm sure many things surprised him and probably scared him to death knowing that he was now responsible for the safety of 350million Americans. I must give him this credit. He hasn't pussed out at all.

I'm kind of wondering why the mission was botched so badly. Crashing a helicopter, and having to go in guns a blazin, probably isn't how they drew it up in the back yard. But I guess, you can't really say it was botched when you pull it off without losing anyone, and your objective is still met. Were they directed to kill, were they directed to take him prisoner, did he put up a fight, did he just throw himself in front of the bullet because all he had was a 20 inch television, 3 wives, and a porn stash? Probably not, the pot probably mellowed him out enough. I do think it's awful funny that this dude, who was so beloved by a bunch of misinformed, easily manipulated followers, basically wanted kids to blow themselves up, while he gets smoked out in a room watching himself on tv, jerking off. To me this is an angle the propaganda machine needs to exploit. Show the rest of the world and the dude's followers, that really, the only people who have any kind of balls at all are the people who blow themselves up. Bin Laden and the rest of the high ranking dudes are a bunch of hypocrites, who are also addicted to western products like coca cola. They are by no means any type of religious leaders.
you just say things without thinking, right? who cares about a chopper? of course it was a virtually perfect mission. no americans were even injured! and bin laden was shot in the head!. minus the chopper the mission was a magnificent masterpiece of perfection. not sure what sort of people you think religious leaders are. this is exactly what all of them are. regular dudes except kinda creepy. worse than most normal folks. it always shocks me that people thing religious leaders are moral or something. i have no clue why anyone would ever think that. by and large, religious leaders are way worse people than the normal folks. and you should have realized this long ago.
Bringing him back alive would have been a mess. Where to hold him? Where's the trial? How to question him? What about the hostages that may be taken to bargin for his release? I would bet that the order was given to kill him on sight. Dump the body. End of story. Then play it up for political gains.
a trial would have been ridiculous, and would only have worked if had been some sort of military thing where he talks for 20 seconds and a judge say "nope" and then he is strung up.
