The only significance is that the people who commit the most crimes are the people more likely to go to prison
Black males 4618 per 100,000 incarcerated, Hispanic males 1747 per 100,000, white males 773 per 100,000. Black Males 6 times higher than whites, Hispanic males over twice as much.
If white people were committing as many crimes as other races there would be a lot more white people in prison. If you want to stay out of prison don't rob, steal, kill or deal drugs
Is it so hard for you to understand that all those people, black, white or Hispanic, were not just plucked off the streets at random and thrown into prison? No matter what color they are each of them is in prison because they are criminals.
This is an indictment of black and hispanic males between the ages of 15 and 35. They commit crimes way out of proportion to their percentage of the population. Another thing to remember is that this ain't Jim Crow anymore. Black people are well represented these days, at least in Baton Rouge. Black policemen, black prosecutors, black jurymen and black judges are putting black criminals in jail, most for preying on the black population.
Right on Q. But please, someone point out how these two are comparable other than both had recessions. Outside of that, we are talking a 30 year change. Im not even saying this to say Obama is bad or a failure. He has done a lot right. But what is the point here other than, "look at what a dem did better than a repube".... I see nothing other than chest beating.
