During the Campagin when they asked the candidates what they would do to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon. I hope you are correct, I really do, I believe the leaders of Iran are crazy enough because of their religion to start WW III or try and eliminate Israel because they hate them. It wouldn't be the first time people from the middle east do crazy things. Iraq has nothing to do with it, I have never suggested invade and Occupy.
It has been US policy since the 1967 war that "land for peace" is the basis for ending the Palestinian problem. The rational Israelis know this.
I'm still waiting for a quote. Obama never said that he would stop Iran from acquiring a bomb. None of the candidates did. How could they? They just offered ways of hindering, discouraging, and threatening Iran to desist from the effort.
Of course it isn't. Netanyahu is a radical Israeli who doesn't want to compromise anything. But there are smarter Israelis which is why the Yahoo never stays in office for long before being booted by the Knesset.
Compromise? Why don't the Israelis just move out and give it all to the Palestinians. Going back to the 67 borders would have the same effect.
Of course not. It still leaves all of Israel. The Israelis will never have peace with the Palestinians as long as they hold the West Bank, even the Israelis know this. Yahoo and Likud is for permanent war because they are winning with 2 billion a year of military aid from our has dollars. More pragmatic Israelis want to use the west bank for leverage against the Palestinians, as the US has always supported.
