... some might disagree. It's a week later because their using the same bowl facility for a game the week before... leave it to the BCS bowls to come up with that one... anyone smell money! God Forbid they should hold the game anywhere else.

    i would agree with that...

Ford Field, Reliance Stadium etc... are all beautiful facilities capable of having a big game

If ND is close to the NC picture, the Heisman will go to Quinn. However, looking at ND's schedule next season - it's obviously not going to be the cake walk they had this year. They beat absolutely no good team this past season. Next season should be a different story. ND might actually be better next year, and yet still have a worse record than they ended up with this season.

If Broussard comes back 100% next season, he or JaMarcus (assuming he's the QB) would definitely be our best chances at getting a Heisman winner. But we almost completely replace our Oline & that is going to make things extra difficult on our running game this coming season. Alley is the type of back to ease the transition, but it will probably bring his numbers down some.

Next year seems to be an especially difficult year to predict the NC contenders.

No, but it does tend to make the teams sloppier. More penalties etc.

Did Alley redshirt or was he an original redshirt from his freshman year?

WHEW! That's a relief! Hey, I was thinking. Remember back during the 2003 Championship season, we had a load of backs. One of which was named Edwards I believe. His number was 32 and showed flashes of brilliance. Anyone know who I'm talking about or what happened to him?

Barrington Edwards - transferred to UNC. I think he had a decent season there.

According to ESPN, he had close to 400 yards this season on 114 carries.
