hmmm... word circulating right now in Dallas and on Hornsfans.com is that big changes are happening at UT TODAY. From what I have seen/heard, three or four assts are being let go by the AD due to pressures from players and boosters, and Brown is so upset he might resign. If I hear anything new, I will post. Texas folk, keep your feelers out and post if you hear anything. Could the old ball coach be coming back to college football sooner then we think? :dis:
just don't bring reese back to LSU. His defense have always been a joke. I like our current defensive coaches the way they are.
one other coaching rumor...... Nebraska is now looking at Dallas Cowboys asst Zimmer to replace Solich, and Ole Miss' Cutcliff has also been linked to the Nebraska opening............ Now they are reaching!
Nebraska ran off a coach with a very good record. They're going to end up like Bama--a has been begging for their 5th choice to take the job.
Spurrier won't be heading to Texas or any other college for that matter. He will be enjoying the rest of his days on the Golf course in Florida.
un is stupid. why don't they go after urban myers(sp?) from utah or jeff tedford from cal? urban turned around bowling green and utah this past season. tedford won a bowl with cal for gods sake. he turned kyle bolier into a 1st round pick. i think both are going to be great coaches.
The things heard on Woopig.net are that he is getting rid of two assistants, one of them being Greg Davis. They are expected to make a hard push for Chris Petersen. Also it looks like they may get rid of Carl Reese with Jerry Gray of the Bills on his way in.
