We have no chance at Ivey. Weathersby could be a go. Hopefully we get him.

Well, we've pulled in a few big dlinemen very late in the process that most thought we had no shot at over the past several years. Therefore I ain't giving up just yet.

Coach O working on Biggie Marshall this weekend. Biggie would be the 4th CA Defensive POY from Long Beach Poly. The other 3 were all Trojans. If O lands Biggie, it would be epic.

I just can't imagine we have much of a shot with Marshall. I hope I'm wrong. I think we can get Weathersby and Key. Other than that, we will either fill our roster with guys who are still waiting on offers or we'll have a small class in anticipation for 2016.

    Starting out early:

    LSU offers another 2018 prospect
The LSU staff is always trying to work ahead in the recruiting game, evidenced by commitments from 2017 five-star Dylan Moses and 2018 quarterback Zadock Dinkelmann, who both landed verbal offers from the Tigers while they were in middle school.

Now, the Tigers are at it again.

On Tuesday night, LSU extended an offer to 2018 prospect Jalen Preston, who just wrapped up his first semester of ninth grade at Manvel High in Texas.

Just how ahead of the game are the Tigers on this one? Preston didn't even play varsity football this season, but at 6-foot-3 and 210 pounds, the staff had seen enough to extend a scholarship offer.

"The offer is legit, and he's a freak," Manvel head coach Kirk Martin told 247Sports. "He's an unbelievable athlete. He starts on the basketball team and he is a great DB/WR/RB. LSU offered him as a safety. He's 6-3, 210 and explosive."

The call from LSU was Preston's first scholarship offer.
