Are you hearing that he might play in the bowl? I wonder what that would do with regards to eligibility? No sense burning a year for a meaningless bowl game but for some reason I don't think it would count and he would still be a RSF next year if he were to play. Anyone know for sure?
I think it was redshirt DB Travis ? Daniels who hadn't played a down all year and Saban started him in the 2003 national championship game. His shirt was burned.
It was Travis. He was redshirt all year, but Blue Gay got hurt right before the 2001 SEC Title Game where we upset the Vols who were playing for a chance at a title appearance. Anyway, I think he played in the Sugar that year where we throttled a really good Illinois team. Kurt Kittner, Brandon Lloyd and another quality wideout. Tall, rangy guy like Quincy or something? Travis and Corey were our shutdown starting corners in the title year in 2003.
He also played in the SECCG @shane0911 I don't think anyone's talking about Narcisse playing in the bowl game. But it seems like he and some of the other redshirts are getting more meaningful reps right now.
That’s one of the benefits of even lower rank bowl games. The team gets 15 practice sessions and many are focused on getting next year’s players ready.
I think Tae Provens is about to sign. On Dandy Son's tracker his signing sign was changed from today to "soon". He just signed but LSU didn't announce it yet. I guess they want to time it for the 5:00 news.
