We don't! Hopefully O has some super secret QB recruiting plan that's going to blow our doors off and we just don't know about it. Unfortunately it at least appears that QB recruiting is going in the wrong direction. The proof will be in the pudding, O will either sign a couple or not.
I think the problem though is the look. The fanbase was already on shakey ground, and to start losing in state kids and the things they are saying, uncertainty surrounding the offense or the future of the LSU offense, it's a bad look. Once one domino falls these kids start to see it like rats jumping off a sinking ship. It's one thing for fans to talk shit, I don't think players put much stock into that because all fanbases do it, I think it's another thing entirely when recruits start to leave and start saying why.
I think it's highly unlikely there is someone better in place, unless the offense isn't taking the direction that Narcisse would be leading it.
Narcisse gained a bunch of weight on top of the two ACL injuries he suffered this year. Deotany Anderson is one I would prefer over him and keeping Breenan. There are other targets too.
From the link you posted... "Former LSU special teams coach Bradley Dale Peveto was Buggs primary recruiter at LSU" --- Peveto was a very good recruiter, but a poor coach, and losing Buggs may be more the price of cutting Peveto than having O as HC.
