Harlem Berry commits! 5-star product out of St. Martin’s Episcopal is 247’s number one ranked RB in the nation and #1 LA prospect.
Jaboree Antoine, 4-star CB from New Iberia (Westgate). On3’s #7 CB in the nation. This is the Corey Raymond effect.
Devin Harper commits. Consensus 4 star IOL from Shreveport Calvary Baptist is the top lineman from LA.
He was a 3* and I feel in my gut this is to open up a slot for someone else they have a silent verbal from. Have to trust the staff I guess but if I'm right I really don't like stuff like this. I get that Saban did it all the time but that doesn't make it right. Hope I'm wrong.
Yes, it’s shady, but all the coaches do it now. I think we would all be shocked at the number of scholarship offers extended. Neither the players nor the coaches understand what a commitment entails.
You have to offer more than what you have, because not everyone you offer is going to accept. And yes, verbal commitments are not worth the paper they're written on.
