That was the EXACT game I was thinking of too... I was ecstatic to go (didn't have season tickets back then, stupid parents would get me one...) and was in the student section.

    Fun game....

Who's paying for your college education, housing, books, food, etc.? You or your "stupid parents"? Do you make your car payment? Do you pay for your insurance?

Sorry, but most of my disposable income goes to my "stupid" kids.

I don't need to lose the weight, so I won't be making said donation; though I would rather give both than go to Duke. :)

a good comparison is lsu baseball and duke basketball, because the programs are both pretty dominant national powers. you can argue that duke basketball has the best fans in the country, but LSU can definitely make the same claim about baseball. they turn omaha into alex box north.

and lots of arenas would seem like cameron indoor if they let the students surround the court.

Why not just say: "OK, I give up."?

You seem to enjoy analyzing the "insecurity" of the people on this message board. Do you know what insecurity is? Insecurity is using a lot of big words when simpler ones will suffice, just to show everybody how "educated" you are. In short, you're doing exactly what TE does. Frankly, I'm not impressed.

Judging from the content of your posts, I'm left wondering whose leg YOU had to hump to get into Duke law.

Good comparison, no doubt our baseball fans are the best in college baseball, just ask the visiting teams that play in the Regionals every year. Very good and knowledgeable fans.

Also, I while watching the Duke-UNC game last night I made a comment to my son how surprised I was at the enitre court being surrounded my students. I also made the comment that Duke must be one rich university to be able to :

1: Give the best tickets to Students.

2: Not build a giant revenue producing basketball facility.

They know that once Coach K goes, it's all she wrote. They'll have trouble filling up the matchbox they play in now after a couple of mediocre seasons.

When K does retire if they don't get a great coach that recruits are dying to play for they would be better off having great facilites I would guess and pretty much all ACC teams keep their big arena's filled it seems.

Let's see.... TOPS is paying for some of my education, I pay the rest... LSU is paying for my room and board through a scholarship... I buy my books... Bought my car... My insurance....

Sorry, but I feel I have the right to bitch a little bit when they paid for my brothers' time at LSU and they give me nothing now....
