OK, I'll go ahead and ask the question....is this team better without Glen?

he's great, but the roster is taylor made to run and that's his big weakness. the team really played well for long stretches while he was out. rolle needs to be shown confidence---let him play through mistakes. we saw some great plays from him tonight. tyrus didnt (and still doesnt) have those smooth offensive moves.

i didnt hear the game. while i know they must have mentioned how young uconn is (several times, im sure) did they mention that lsu has one sr (and he's way down the list of importance)?

    No, they didn't mention that!
I am very happy and was surprised that this team did play as well as they
did without him but I don't think they are a better team without him.
As well as the Tigers played tonight I honestly think you have to also look
at how badly UCONN played the second half?

You could say that may be due to our defense, I don't know.
I don't think we could play this well without him in stretches in the SEC.
    I don't think so!

This team wouldn't win 15 games without Davis this year. Davis gets up and down the court better than most big men.

Besides, you can't run if you don't get the rebound.

Davis was in an auto accident after the game and spent the night in the hospital. Doesn't appear to be serious, but he may not be 100% for the Bama game.

sorry to hear he was in an accident.

but he does not get up and down the floor better than most big men, maybe most big men that are 290 lbs. he doesnt finish well because he cant jump. different skills than in halfcourt game. he's not a very good rebounder either. just fair.

besides this. the team is often too dependent on him and the o can be stagnant. its unavoidable, but his dominance is also probably hampering the development of mitch and rolle. this team would win more than 15 without him---although realistically theyd need a while to adjust.

Davis leads the SEC in rebounding ... that's your definition of fair?

You may be the only person alive who thinks LSU would be better w/o Davis.

i didnt say the team would be better without him, but i thought it might actually be nice to discuss something on this board besides soap opera gossip saban crap.

what does "leading the sec in rebounding" have to do with anything shen they havent played an sec game. glen is the 77th best offensive rebounder in ncaa and 112th best defensive rebounder. and thats playing some pretty poor teams--sos #78.

Sounds like pretty good stats to me. How many total ncaa basketball players?
