Don't you know Miles called this the best o-line since he has been at LSU? Got to give it to him he has an eye for talent.
Defense did enough to win. Not horribly dissapointed, wish we would have seen a little suprises on offense. Chavis is obviously what we need. No Shepard was really disappointing. I mean what was the worse that could happen he only gets three yards. We got that already. I just hope we dont let them score again. 5-1 going into bye week, had you told me that at the start of the season I would have said I will take it. They competed, which i am happy about
:geaux: I think the play calling is the result of trying to protect JJ and minimize the possibility of mistakes which makes for conservative style of play and predictability. I'm not seeing JJ progress like I thought he would by now and the play of the OL may be contributing to that. Also, the possibility of Lee coming in is obviously zero. I actually thought he should have come in to see if he could have given the offense a spark. What could it have hurt? He does have the ability to throw so why not give him a chance? I thought our offense would be better tonight, but Florida's "D" is awesome. Best in the country. Having said that, the Tiger "D" played one hell of a game tonight and I tip my hat to them. Tough game tonight. If we keep UF to 13 for the game that will be something. Don't know if anyone else will this year. :LSU231:
The defense although they held Florida to only 13 or so.... they can't get anyone off the field... sorry it was actually a poor defense showing. True no big plays but if you can't get the team off the field it doesn't matter. I really haven't seen LSU stop anyone this year other than GA in the first half, other then that nada.
This was our best effort. If Sheppard is really the next Vince Young, get him in next week. This JJ kid ain't the answer.
