Don't worry the press will spin it into a moral victory for the Irish. They will probably drop one spot in the polls.
Wouldn't call it poor overall. The line is playing lights out for pass blocking, but the run blocking leaves a little to be desired. Granted, blocking Auburn on the rush is no easy feat.
Well AU hasn't really impressed me offensively in the first, I think if JR can settle down and we can utilize our speed and talent, and grab a couple of TDs, we'll be in good shape. Our OL needs some work, pronto!
Clearly bad ref call count....3 1) overturned call - was clearly catch and fumble out of bounds 2) Auburn catch at the 8 - should've been fumbled and recovered by LSU, replay showed Laron knocked it out before his butt or knee hit the ground 3) no call on pass interference in end zone - wtf?? any others?
Not always it's just he is inconsistant on his touch passes. If the OL could run block at all he would look better PS is there a more obvious play in the playbook than the one when the three blockers all run to one side at the same time?
I disagree, the call should have never even been considered for reviewing, the right call should have been made on the field... it was pretty blatant.
Pass protection has not been bad. Russell does look a little off. Hopefully he can have a big second half.
My earlier remark that Miles may want to think about putting Flynn in was not intended to be JR bashing. I am a JR fan, but when the offense struggles you need to start thinking about offering the opposing defense a new look. Flynn's ability to run the ball would definately give the Auburn defense a different kind of offense to worry about. That is not a reflection on JR who I continue to support.
