First of all, Florida is man-for-man a better team than LSU. Florida's post players dominated LSU's in both matchups this season, and the same happened in the backcourt this game. They are a 12-deep team, when LSU plays 7 or 8. Florida's problem is their head coach. He doesn't know how to use his advantages against most teams and lets the other team dictate the tempo of the game. How else can you explain 2 losses against USC? He gets into run and gun games when he needs to slow the tempo and play inside-outside.. he damn sure has the shooters to do it. He needs to play every game like he plays LSU and throw it in to the post every possession.
I'm not glad they lost, but I'm not kicking the dog either. Do you guys notice how giddy Gofer and his butt buddy Kjunweenie have been since the game ended. You do realize they are together...if you get my drift.:hihi:
It wasn't a meaningless game. But it wasn't critical to win to get to the big dance. And it certainly wasn't a reason to be bashing Brady!
if lsu hadnt lost, i would not be looking forward to watching the game sunday, essentially worrying the whole time about mitchell tweaking his ankle again, and not really caring if we beat a team i already know we are superior to. bring on the big dance. thats why you play ball, to make the dance. here is the way i see the priorities: 1. make the tourney and hopefully do something 2. win the sec regular season 3. have a good record and be a respectable team 4. beat your rivals and play hard. the sec tournament is an afterthought if you are accomplishing those other goals, which i think matter much more.
