Anyone who thinks we didn't hold back doesn't know football. That was about as vanilla an offense as I've seen. Believe me guys, Crowton is an offensive genius. It will get better as we go.

My biggest concern is the O-line. That's what we need to shore up.

Flynn is our quarterback. RP came in late - MSU was beaten - RP's day will come, but not yet.

A good solid effort. Flynn to Doucet looks real good. Best hit was LaFell on his BLOCK, loved it. All running backs looked good. Best pass was Flynn to Doucet in the end zone for a TD. Chad Jones made an impressive tackle, I liked to see all the young guys, Pep Livingston, Jai Eugene, Terrence Tolliver, Al Woods, just a lot of fun. I think this has to be our year though, on account of this type defense will not come around often.

I was impressed with Perrilloux, glad to see Les smile and shake his hand after he put it in the end zone. He commanded the team well.

I liked all the running backs, they all performed well.

It should not have been this easy, if their QB had not given us all the INTs.

I guess Crowton did not open up the play book, since he can keep VT guessing. Jury is still out there.

Next week we'll see what we really have.

Probably most of that comes from the fact that the right side of the OL got their hats handed to them most of the game and we will play several teams with much better DL's. I think a large part of the lack of production by the offense was due to holding back on the game plan until next week. Without the 6 or 7 turnovers the score would have been much much lower. Hopefully the line will gel and Crowton has much much more up his sleeve. The team got the job done and that's what counts but there is still a lot of room for improvement before talk of a NC. I'm glad we get extra prep time before the VT game.

Welcome back Jean - haven't seen you around lately.
By the way, Clara was right about at least one question being answered - Is State any better this year ----- no.

Yeah...that was a hell of a tackle. Not because of the hit but how he closed on the ball carrier like a madman. It was impressive how quickly he got from midfield to the sideline to bring him down.

This is the first time an SEC team has shut out another SEC team on the first game of the season since 1966.

We need to work on the Oline and penalties.

I'm not optimistic that there is much to do about the o-line being that we have a 5th year senior... converted d-lineman playing right tackle for us with true freshmen as backups on both sides. All we might be able to do is keep backs in for protection and an extra tight end on the right hand side at all times.
