Not yet, although they need to get their shit together pretty quickly. I love Westbrook and what he brings to the team and eventually they will settle back into what their roles were before he got hurt. Currently they are just in a transition where no one really knows what to do. KD needs to sack up and be aggressive. He will know pretty quickly if Russ is on or not. If he is not, fuck him and shoot the damn basketball. Reggie Jackson is really the cog here. He has grown accustomed to being the starting 1 and will have to realize he isn't "0" and go back to doing what the team needs him to do. Oh and if he could somewhere along the way learn to play just a little defense that wouldn't hurt either. As much as I despise Perkins, his loss will be a big one to overcome. Don't ask me how, I don't like him and often times it is 4 on 5 basketball when he is on the floor but he somehow generates an identity for this team. The season will hang on whether or not they are able to create another one without him which will be extremely difficult beings they have hid behind Russ and Kd for so long. I'm sure they will continue to do so but Adams and Collison will have to contribute even more. More on Adams because Collison is almost always solid off the bench. It looks as if they will sign Caron Butler. This will help but only if that idiot Scott Brooks realizes he has a veteran that can guard the perimeter better than anything he has had in recent years sans Sefalosha a few years back. He wont do us any good if Brooks doesn't have the balls to sit Tabo and play Butler. I predict they lose tonight to Memphis, struggle but beat the bobcats in a few days and the ship should be righted shortly thereafter. Time will tell. My biggest concern is that there are 3 teams that will give OKC fits in a 7 game series. Miami, Indiana, and the Clippers. All 3 of those teams just got better with recent moves. Should be a fun rest of the season.
I think he is too worried about feelings and shit. He needs to just shoot it. Russ will get his eventually.
Never paid much attention to Jamal Crawford which is odd because he's got the slickest moves and has been around for 12 yrs now. I've seen two games recently that praised his personality. Things coming in 3's lately after that impressive run down of coaches. Durant has improved to the level that most want to see him against Lebron this year. I'd love to see that matchup again (esp at this time of their careers) but will be pulling for the Rockets in the West. The Clippers are another team that I like, partially due to my fantasy team with Griffin & Crawford (13-2 record). Add Big Baby to the mix with CP3, Jordan's oops, and Reddick makin it rain, that's a recipe for Doc's stew.
Looks like Caron Butler is in. Now I'm hearing Ben Gordon is a possibility. That would help if they can pull it off.
How bout the Clips adding Baby Davis and Granger. Is that bench support enough to boost their chances in the playoffs?
