A few points after reading the boards today....

    OSU
How the hell is Ohio St back in it AGAIN???? I thought we shut them up in the NC game last season, but here they are. They are the cockroaches of college football. The "Number 1" team in the country has some really played "tough" opponents...Here are their "conquests" so far...Youngstown State, Akron, Washington, Northwestern, Minnesota, Purdue, Kent State. OK, there seems to be some decently big names (Washington, Northwestern, Minnesota, Purdue) but if we look closer, those teams' combined record is 12-15. And those were the TOUGH teams they have played. If the LUCKEYES make it through their remaining "schedule" unscathed, I will be very surprised. But if they do, I can only hope they meet another SEC team in NC game so that they can get exposed AGAIN as the pretenders that they are. Big Ten? BIG DEAL?!!??!

    LSU/KY
I didnt get to see the game (I was working) and I forgot to record it. I thought my head was going to explode when I got in my car after work and heard the result. Fear not though TIGERFANS....IMO, you still have a great team. I think you played your best game of the season last week against my Gators and just couldnt get back in the mode for KY this week. Hopefully after our week off (we dropped a spot?? ha ha ha) we will be able to do the same to the Mildcats. They played their best game against you and will hopefully be down for us. GEAUX GATORS....maybe we can hit 'em back for ya!

    We vs They
I saw the debate on this thread concerning fans referring to the team as "we" even though they are not the ones on the field playing the games. My two cents? I am a big user of "WE" when referring to the Gators and here is why. I have had season tickets since 1978 when UF was 1-10. I supported the team then, I supported them through the probation years of Charlie Pell and Galen Hall, through the Spurrier era, the Zook hiccup, and now the Meyer era. I have spent uncounted THOUSANDS of dollars on tickets, jerseys, shirts, hats, cups, flags, car magnets, face paint, beer koozies, etc etc. I applied to ONE university out of high school and was accepted (thanks to my SAT scores and not my GPA! ha ha ha) And I will die a Gator fan!

Compare this with a top player who is recruited by all the top teams (including my rivals). He might have never been a fan of the team, but instead, he might weigh his options, consider which team will get him more exposure for his projected future in the NFL, stick around for 4 years (if we're lucky) and then move on.

Does the fact that this person is on the field make him more of a Gator than me? I dont think so. In fact, I think that the die-hard fans of schools like Florida, LSU, Alabama, Tennes...uu..err...hmph..(sorry, I just threw up in my mouth)....have just as much if not MORE of a right to use "WE" when referring to their respective teams. Dont get me wrong, I am not taking ANYTHING away from the players that lay their bodies, hearts, minds, and souls on the line for their choosen team. Many of them DID grow up fans of those teams. And anyone can see the passion in the players on the field. I just think the fans have just as much of a right.

At least its not the NFL (where your star player might switch to your arch rival next season for a better contract!)

    But thats just my opinion!!!

    GO GATORS!!! BEAT THE MILDCATS!!!

None taken....I thought after we beat Nebraska, I thought we were the real deal. But after seeing how we struggled with Washington, a loss to Stanford, and again with Arizona.......the Trojans are only doing it to themselves.
Our receivers are nothing like the past. Our kids our young with alot of expected pressure, and truthfully, they are performing to par.
Same goes for Booty Call. admit his broken finger....his passes have been over thrown, behind receivers, and just not on target.
Our issue with tailback proves to be another distraction.
With not knowing who is going to start, who's injured etc also remains a question for the Trojans.
I just know that Colin Cowherd hyped up these Trojans a little more than what they are worth.
They are at least a #12, 11, or 10 team in the nation.

USC is nowhere near worthy of a NC game at this point. To say that injuries are a question is like saying the Titanic was a nice little boat. Take a look:

    Baker-Strained Hamstring-out 1 to 2 games
Heberer-Strained Shoulder-out unknown number of games
Rey Rey-Hip pointer or worse-out unknown?
    Rachal-Strained knee-back for Notre Dame?
    O'Dowd-Patella injury-out 2-3 more weeks?
    Malu-Hamstring bruise-playing
    Charles Brown-Sprained ankle
    Booty-broken finger-back for Notre Dame?
    S. Johnson-boot injury-back for Notre Dame?
    K Ellison-broken nose-playing
    Byers-banged up hands but playing

    Out for the season:
    Pinkard-Torn ACL-out all season
    Nick Howell-Groin Injury-out for season
CJ Gable-groin injury-out for the season
Martin Coleman-shoulder-out for the season but possibly practicing with scout team
    Marc Tyler-practicing with scout team
Gallippo-Back injury-surgery and out for the season (Injury from High School)
    Kevin Thomas-out for the year
    Broderick Green-Stress Fracture foot-back when?
    T Henderson-out for the season
    Travon Patterson-out for the season

The Oline injuries are massive. We are down to 3rd and 4th string at many key spots. Yesterday our #2 RB was a 6th year guy with two bad knees.

LSU is absolutely still in it, no question. USC lost any real chance to play for the NC last week. A one loss team will play, maybe even 2 one loss teams but not when the loss is to the Furd.
