So if the game would have been 2-1 after the top of the 6th, MLB would have waited until it was suitable to play the rest of the game. This means the fans would have had to stay to watch the rest of the game, even if the game resumed sometime Tuesday morning, Tuesday afternoon, etc. MLB was thrilled Tampa scored the tying run so they could just say we'll be back tomorrow night if the weather permits. Kinda crazy.
