Coach O's son is a bigger missed opportunity imo. Dude makes one-handed grabs like Odell and Jarvis. McNeese is going to end up with a good group.
So we lost Frank and UF lost their DB coach on the same day. Fulton visited LSU again this weekend and was put a ease and still looking great for LSU.
Best ranking of the top 16 LSU recruits and most likely additional commitments from the 3 primary recruiting sites: OLB Erick Fowler.................13 Rivals DT Edwin Alexander.............20 ESPN DB Saivion Smith.................26 Scout OLB Michael Divinity............46 ESPN DB Eric Monroe....................59 Scout DT Glen Logan.....................69 Rivals RB Devin White....................69 Scout OLB Rahssan Thornton.......70 ESPN WR Stephen Sullivan...........71 ESPN WR Drake Davis..................76 ESPN CB Andraez Williams..........135 Scout OG Donavaughn Campbell 160 ESPN WR Dee Anderson..............187 ESPN TE Jamal Pettigrew............188 Scout OLB Andre Anthony............260 Scout S Cameron Lewis...............268 ESPN OL Willie Allen.......................5 ESPN NT Rashard Lawrence...........7 ESPN CB Trayvon Mullen...............17 ESPN CB Kristian Fulton.................34 Scout DT Stephon Taylor...............229 ESPN Potentially 21 recruits that will have a 4 star rating or better on at least 1 site, with 14 of those ranked in the top 76 in the nation.
I'm especially excited about the front 7 prospects we've got committed, and the likely addition of Lawrence. That gives us 3 highly rated DT's plus Taylor, and 3 good looking OLB/DE prospects plus Anthony.
LSU now with 17 players who are at least 4 star in the 247sports composite rankings. Only Ohio State with 16 has more than 13. 1. LSU..................17 2. Ohio State......16 3. Michigan........13 4. Ole Miss.........12 4. FSU..................12 6. Georgia...........11 7. Mich. State.....10 7. Clemson.........10 7. USC..................10
Looking at the 247 rankings, I think LSU has to hit on Lawrence, Fulton and Mullen to end up #1. It gets us to 297 points and that should be enough.
I don't think we have a chance at #1 any more. OSU, Georgia and Bama all have huge prospects left on the board. Generally you have to be at 310 to be 1st.
Sitting on 21 commits, our class should finish up looking like this (I hope) --- 2 - DB - Fulton and Mullen, with a chance to get Nigel Warrior or Deontay Anderson. 2 - DT - Lawrence and Christmas-Giles or Stephon Taylor. We may lose Glen Logan. 1 - DE - Sci Martin. We may lose Andre Anthony 1 - OL - We have a shot at 3 TOP 200 prospects in OTs EJ Price, Lashley and Juan Williams. All have either been here or are scheduled for OV. 1 - QB - Lindsey Scott I'm not sure how we'd take 28. My guess is, there will be some academic non-qualifiers.
