All of them. Re read my post. I just dont think they belong plain and simple. Every big boy had to fight at full strength all season long. Just how good would that pretender be if they had played PSU's or any other top shelf schedule. Beating cupcakes week in and week out just does not compare to playing a top shelf conference schedule. Leave the kiddy table and petition to join the grown ups table, go through real conference hell week in and week out, and really proove to the country you belong. Otherwise sit at yo kiddy table and be quiet.

All those media orgasms over that pretender is just sickening.

OU Still Gets my vote as better than that pretender.

Nah, he's just saying that since mid majors play puss schedules all year, it's easy for them to step it up against their 1 tough opponent mentally and physically because the toll of their season hasn't been as great as their opponent. I makes a pretty good point too, because the last few years or so it has worked for USC  .

If Oklahoma was the better team, they would have won.

And frankly, I'm sick of people saying "The Better Team Lost" because, again, if they were the better team, they would have won. That is the point of head-to-head matchups.

BTW Here is a Selection of BSU wins:

Oregon St. (10-4) 42-14 (won vs. Missouri in bowl season)
Hawai'i (11-3) 41-34 (won vs. Arizona State in bowl season)
Utah (8-5) 36-3 (won vs. Tulsa in bowl season)
San Jose State (9-4) 23-20 (won vs. New Mexico in bowl season) (Their slow game?)
Nevada (8-5) 38-7 (lost vs. Miami (FL) in bowl season 21-20)
    Oklahoma (10-3) 43-42

Whereas the WAC is still a mid-major, they are an underrated conference.

Exactly which "big boy" conference would they join? They're fairly close to the Big 12,(geographically), and they beat their champs last night. They're fairly close to the Pac 10, and they beat Oregon St., like a drum, I might add, earlier this season. Would you have them join the SEC??? Plain and simple solution, and it ain't "+ 1". PLAYOFF!!! I agree with you that they probably wouldn't stand much of a chance in a playoff having to beat 2 or 3 top shelf teams in a row. But as it is, they beat who they played, every single one of 'em. Can't argue with that. Also, every interview I've heard with their coach today, he's said NOTHING about wanting more than what they got. Only that he appreciated the chance to play in the BCS game against OU. He's a class act, and he doesn't feel the least bit cheated. I say good for him and them.:thumb:

And by the way, not that I think the WAC is some power conference, but have they lost a bowl game this year?? I don't think so, and they have been impressive in the ones I saw. Granted, they weren't playing Top 10 teams in these bowls, but they were playing winning teams from "big boy" conferences.

The WAC and the MWC need to realign their conferences in favor of one becoming a major conference.

    Could you imagine this:

    New Western Athletic Conference

    Boise State (13-0)
    Brigham Young (11-2)
    TCU (11-2)
    Hawai'i (11-3)
    San Jose State (9-4)
    Nevada (8-5)
    Utah (8-5)
Fresno State (4-8)...though this was a down year for them, for sure.
Utah State (1-11) (eh, let's get Utah and USU together)

(add another one for 10 teams)

    I like it. :)

the bcs needs to stipulate that to qualify for an automatic bid, the bcs conferences must have 12 teams and a championship game... that forces the pac-10 to take 2 teams (combination of 2 of boise st., fresno st., and utah), the big 10 to take 1 (notre dame should not get their auto without a conference), and the big east loses theirs (i doubt they could find enough good teams to add).

I'm excited about next year because the automatic bids can go to 5-7 conference champions. So, if the ACC is down in a hole again, they have a high chance of losing their bid (unless WFU is just excellent next year)
