The D was fine. Florida has an innovative, tough-to-defend O. I feel good about our D, but being #1 doesn't amount to alot when we've already lost two games.
When the offense makes long drives it keeps the defense off the field thereby helping their stats. The defense played well. The offense scored the first time it got the ball, then the defense stopped Florida. Then the punt returner botched the reception giving Florida a short field. Three interceptions and another fumble is not giving the defense a chance. The long drives by the offense in the Peach Bowl is one reason the defense played so well in that game. They were hardly ever on the field. They would make three good plays stopping Miami and the offense would drive for another score. The Florida game was just the opposite. The defense would stop Florida and the offense or special team would give it right back.
