ok we have top 3 games now what about worst games in tiger stadium

Speaking of that game does anyone remember when Carter juked Mark Roman out of his shoes. I think it was on a bootleg or something like that. I remember standing in the student section shaking my head and wondering where in the world Carter came from.

 

I stayed to whole game for all of these

1) Bama - 1996
2) Auburn - 1999 I think it was like 42-7. Plus it was a 5 pm kickoff so it was still really hot until almost the end.
3) Ole Miss - 1997 Game after beating No 1. Florida plus it was a JP 11:30 game, the whole crowd was dead the entire game.

Honorable Mention: Notre Dame - 1997. I remember me and brother had to walk back to Tigerland after the game in drizzling rain and 30 degrees. Then when I got back to my apt I couldn't find my keys. I left them in my friends car who lived on the other side of campus. Luckly my neighbors were home so I just waited there till I could find someone to bring me to get my keys. Bad day all the way around.

 

#1. Miami (FL) 1988 3-44 loss. A buddy of mine thought that we wanted Miami to beat ND earlier, so that when we beat Miami we could possibly get back into the MNC race even though we had 2 losses. Needless to say, it didn't matter. Worst butt kicking I ever witnessed. And to add insult to injury, LSU OT Ruffin Rodrigue stated after the game he thought LSU had actually beaten Miami on the lines. What a maroon.

#2. Florida, 1985 0-20. LSU's defense played pretty good but gave up 2 long TD passes and 2 FGs. But the offense epitomized "Up the Middle, Up the Middle, Sack, Punt". The game was over in the second quarter.

#3. Miami (OH) 1986, 12-22. I bragged to a buddy that I would get tired of playing "Geaux Tigers" that night because of all the first downs we would get. Man, I never did that again.

I will Never forget that nite and it was all downhill from there.
I could barely mustar the courage to watch LSU football the next few years.

BUT

I was at the Miami vs LSU game in Tiger Stadium, 2 hurricanes at once was
too much to take not to mention at least the Georgia vs LSU game was a lot
closer than the other game.

Unfortunitely we lost to the canes 44-3 with the field goal coming with little
time left in the game.
I also remember seeing Jimmy Johnson on the sidelines in this one.
There is no better a butt whippin anyone can take than this game. :dis:

 

bama at home in '02 was awful, spent my entire day on a bus trying to get to the jesuit byrd 1st round playoff game, which they lost, bad then got up the next day wen tto the bama lsu game and when me and my dad get up to our seats, boom there is a dead bird looked like it flew straight down in the ground, smelled awful all game (thank GOD this wasnt in september, and its about 40 degrees and its a close game untill bama scores a touchdown running a 2 minute drill... on just halfback sprints oo man that was bad,
01 - ole miss game, even when lsu was up i knew nothing but bad things to happen, i remember hearing how bad ole miss rush defense is so we only throw the ball 18 times,get beat by eli manning, bad stuff
99 san jose state, we beat san jose state by the whopping score of 28-21 in the beginning of dinardos last season, (game not over till mark roman?? intercepts and returns for 6 near the end of the 4th quarter that was not fun stuff

 

Obviously there are a lot of young people here. I cast the only vote for Tulane 31 LSU 28 the week after we clinched an Orange Bowl berth. It rained the entire game. Tulane sucked that year (I think they were like 2-8 going into the game). Pre game smack had LSU beating the weenies by 50 to 100 points. A lot of crow was ingested the following week. Tulane, people, TULANE!!! It does not get any worse than that.

 

1. 2002 Alabama (Thats about as low as I have felt at a Tiger game)

2. 2000 Arkansas (Although not at Tiger Stadium, it was pretty bad. I was living in Little Rock at the time. It was a cold, rainy miserable day & my wife was 6 months pregnant with our daughter. At least the next day was great though!)

3. 1999 Florida (Another rainy and miserable day, it was only my second game at Tiger Stadium)

 

Yeah I always hate losing the close games thats why I figured that one would be up there. Especially considering how high you guys were ranked and how unbeatable you were suppossed to be at home.

 

I see. So the game is only important when you win. That puts it in to perspective.

Guess this years game in Athens isn't going to be important if you lose.
