Yeah he was a freshman too. Too bad he could never duplicate that performance in Baton Rouge again during his career at UGA.

Sure it was. He was saying that game wasn't important. When it clearly was. You guys had huge expectations that year and UGA starting the decline that year. What was LSU's final record?

Coming in underdogs to suppossedly one of the toughest stadiums to play in the country at night with a freshman QB. Cmon.

    Hi

Of all the game I saw at Tiger stadium or on TV these stand out...

    1. Tulane 1982 guys the season didn't end after the FSU game.
    2. UAB 2000, how many will admit today, they wondered if LSU had made a mistake in hiring Saban after that game.
    3. Houston 1999 Lou's defense comes though just like it had the pass 20 games.
    4. Miami of Ohio 1986 that loss was the worse effort in the arnparger era.
    5. Colorado St. 1992 Hallman great coaching and hiring lead LSU to this classic game.

    in no particular order.

lsu (sec champs no less) vs. canes - it rained like a hurricane. 44-3?
vs. bama - tigers were up by about 9 and bama comes back and recovers a on side kick and wins. i think this all occurred in the final 5 mins.
vs. gators 58-3 (?) need i say more - never forget. i have a friend that has that score framed in his office - it helps to remember that things can always get worst.
vs. tulane 1982 - field still smelled like oranges.

As bad as the '88 Miami game was it could have been a lot worse. The afternoon of the game I was out all day and a friend with an extra ticket had tried to call me to invite me to the game. By the time I got the message it was too late to go. This was in the pre cell phone era. If I had had a cell phone I might have had to suffer along with the rest of the fans. It was bad enough watching it on TV.

No actually, it doesnt matter because as time passed we realized we made every QB from that day on to look like an ALL AMERICAN. EVERY TEAM WE PLAYED set passing records due to lou tepper. so in hindsight, you were just another loss on our way to the top of the mountain....so yes, we thank you and quincy thanks us for getting him drafted. win/win situation.

oh yeah keep talking about the Athens game.....you lost the 2 last year against us... we didnt win them.

keep hope alive, brutha... its all you have. oh...and the homo pic to salvage.

Never said that about last year. Maybe the first game but everyone knows LSU killed UGA in the SECCG.

It may happen again in Athens this year... Who knows? But I doubt it.
