1997 Notre Dame Game by far..., it was my second trip to TigerStadium. I pretty much came to see my friend in Tigerband and stayed til the end listening to them. Man, I didn't know who Herb Tyler was looking at when he threw the ball. 30 degrees, Cold, Rainy, Dark...really gloomy.I literally couldn't feel my feet or hands, awful stuff 28-6 Irish.

If this is the game where LSU was ranked #4 at the time, and prepared to make a run for the NC with the upcoming Nebraska (#1 at the time) game in the Orange Bowl, then yes that's it.

Of the games that I personally attended...

the UAB loss in 2000 definitely is the low point. A distant second would be the 1994 season opener against A&M. We lost, something like 18 - 13 but we had them on the ropes and could easily have won. I remember that we took the lead on them in the 3rd quarter when we intercepted a pass in the flat and returned it for a TD. When A&M got the ball back, darned if they didn't come right back and run that play again. I forget who he was - but our DB read it perfectly and swooped in for what would have been another INT for a TD - except that the ball bounced off his hands with no one in front of him. Third would probably be the Houston game in 1999. Tiger Stadium was probably the most quiet that I'd ever seen or heard it. The team just flat quit on DiNardo that night.

That's it. And to add salt to the wound I got a speeding ticket on the way home. I was decked out in my P&G and the trooper said, Podnuh, this just ain't your night.

Worst game for me would have to be the first game in TS I'd ever been to. The 1992 game against Colorado St. LSU lost the game 17 to 14. I remember Colorado St getting a long 50+ yard run for a touchdown in that game. I thought to myself "Wow, LSU sucks".

Oddly enough though, from that day on I was hooked on LSU football and the atmosphere of Tiger Stadium.

I gotta add that perhaps the most disappointing game for me was the 1973 Alabama game, which ruined the season. That was my freshman year at LSU and the legal drinking age was 18. Cholly Mac got out to a 9-0 start. We were walking on air and thought the Tigers were invincible going into the game against undefeated #2 Alabama and the Houndstooth-hatted One.

    Bama won.

Then we lost the season finale to Tulane for the first time in 25 years and lost the Orange Bowl game to Penn Freakin' State. Finished 9-3. Bummer.

And furthermore ... on your next peep ... I wrote a song about it

Sittin' on a stump in Chackbay
    (a bulldawg's lament) by ramah

    Sittin' in the mornin' sun
I'll be sittin' when the evenin' come
    Watching the choupique come in
And then I watch 'em swim away again, yeah

I'm sittin' on a stump in Chackbay
    Watching the tide roll away
Ooo, I'm just sittin' on a stump in Chackbay

    Wastin' time

I left my home in Georgia
Headed for the swamps of Chackbay
'Cause I've had nothing to live for
Nick Saban blew my bulldawgs away

So I'm just gonna sit on a stump in Chackbay
    Watching the tide roll away
Ooo, I'm sittin' on a stump in Chackbay

    Wastin' time

    Look like nothing's gonna change
Greene's lame game still remains the same
I can't watch what Nick's Tigers are gonna do
So I guess I'll remain the same, yes

    Sittin' here resting my bones
That Tiger rout won't leave me alone
It's fo' hundred miles I roamed
Just to make this stump my home

Now, I'm just gonna sit on a stump in Chackbay
    Watching the tide roll away
Oooo-wee, sittin' on the dock of the bay

    Wastin' time

    (Whistle)

But will you be here after we go 3 and oh on the dawgs?

We had guys like you threaten the same crap for every game last year (Florida, surprisingly did not throw smack around before the game last year, in fact they were scared sh*tless). Never had any of em back. Hell, Auburn guys like Chuck disappeared forever. You think you guys would have learned after the SECCG.
