OK, trying to forget Saturday and now planning for some Oct tailgates for the "other" purple team I support. Interested in some ideas for food that does not require me bringing burners, cookers, giant pots etc to the game. We have a decent amount of parking space, 4 canopies, 2 60" TV's etc etc but I m looking for more ideas as to what people do for "whores doovers" and food for usually no more than 15-20 people. Fire away........my red beans and rice recipe I got last year was awesome but I am looking for something I can prepare and bring with me. It does not take NEAR as long to get into a TCU tailgate as it does an LSU, in fact they only open their lots 5 hours prior to kickoffs...........I know, I know...........

Any "POT FOOD" such as red beans, gumbo, ettoufe, etc can be cooked in advance and be very good later. Fried food doesn't usually hold up well except for chicken. Baked or roasted dishes can also hold up well.

All that pot food is great but you have to be able to heat it up. He said he didn't want to bring cooking equipment.

    Guacamole w Feta.

Make some guac with cilantro and lime juice, add tomatoes and feta cheese. Fattening sure but good as hell.

You could always order pizza. Most delivery places will deliver to the campus if you order before the traffic gets horrendous.
