Re: Here's a good encapsulation of how I feel about Jamarcus You think maybe their is something to the fact that many publications have JR listed anywhere from 10th to 15th in terms of the nations best QBs?
Re: Here's a good encapsulation of how I feel about Jamarcus "The LSU fans who criticize JaMarcus now are the same ones who criticized Shaquille and then bragged about his pro career." He probably has a point. This is the line that caught may eye.
Re: Here's a good encapsulation of how I feel about Jamarcus I like JR and believe he will always be remembered as a really good LSU QB, but this quote is the one that Sums it up for me and how I feel. Also, the part of our team that should without a doubt get the most congrats and be remembered for the ages is this defense. Imagine in the the two losses this year, plus the Tennessee game this past weekend if the defense hadnt been sooo good how ugly things could have turned after JR's turnovers. Really, in all three games we were in position to win because the Defense held it together.
Re: Here's a good encapsulation of how I feel about Jamarcus Can't argue with facts. I would like to know if the rated passing efficiency encompasses catches made AND interceptions relative to attempts, or it just looks at attempts vs completions. It may be more meaningful to look at the percentage of interceptions relative to the total pass attempts; that may give a better perspective of how "reckless" a QB is or isn't. I would also like to see the tipped ball interceptions not charged to the QB in the statistics since it may not be the QB's fault.
Re: Here's a good encapsulation of how I feel about Jamarcus And we can also start charging QBs for INTS even though the defender drops it after having it right there in his hands.
Re: Here's a good encapsulation of how I feel about Jamarcus Whi is this even an issue? Last I checked, JR is not the OC, so he didn't design the play that put 2 receivers in the same vicinity?
Re: Here's a good encapsulation of how I feel about Jamarcus As far as I know, the pass effeciency rating takes completions, attempts, interceptions, TDs and yards all into account. That's why it is often considered the most important stat. Unfortunately, I do not know the formula, except to say that the formulas are different for the pros and college. GEAUX TIGERS
Re: Here's a good encapsulation of how I feel about Jamarcus The announcers really made a big deal about it when it wasn't. If Early had dropped it, maybe they could bitch about it. But Bowe was open in the back of the end zone, so if Early would not have gone for it Bowe woulda got it. But with 9 seconds to go, Early made the right choice in going for a catchable ball, you can't blame anyone there. JR made a nice throw and Early went for the ball knowing what was at stake.
Re: Here's a good encapsulation of how I feel about Jamarcus From my experience of playing NCAA Football:lol: , Pass efficiency relies much on yards/attempt, and completion % more than anything. So it basically judges how accurately you throw deep.
Re: Here's a good encapsulation of how I feel about Jamarcus Been there, done that, got the avater. :thumb:
