At OSU, he admitted he spoke to LSU, and no official offer had been made YET. Meaning he was expecting one, it just hadn't happened yet. In this situation, both he and Michigan say, Michigan hasn't even contacted him yet. Will they? Remains to be seen. Will he leave IF contacted? Possible/Probable. From everything I'm reading, I'm not sure how high on UM's list he is. He may never get an offer from them.

Re: Confirmed: Miles:"If things work out, there will be something official on Monday" From what I've read, the fans want Miles (by a rather overwhelming majority I might add), but he doesn't exactly have a whole lot of "friends" in the Athletic administration. We'll see how it plays out. Most of the poeple with a "vote" are strongly backing Ferentz, mainly because he's the "anti-Miles" is the way I read it worded. No clue if they'll officially offer it to Ferentz or not, or if he'd even take it if offered. Also supposedly Brian Kelly at Cincinatti has connection to some of Carr's staff, and is considered a candidate.
Re: Confirmed: Miles:"If things work out, there will be something official on Monday" Smoke screen, here's why: Michigan won't hire an Iowa alum who's been .500 over the last three years over a UM alum who's been .900 the last three and, as an alum, has recruited better, beaten more quality opponents, and is a disciple of Bo. We'll see though, I may be wrong.

I wonder how much input Carr will have. I'm sure he has some supporters who will be involved in this decision. Carr is not a fan of Miles. Can he influence decision makers? Just a gut feeling ... Miles won't get an offer.
