Did they pay Orgeron too much to be able to afford Mark Few?:hihi:

I'd be more worried about Butch Pierre trying to impress Ole Miss.

My girlfriend told me something yesterday while she was reading the game program.. I thought she was wrong... She said "Ole Miss does not have any Mississippi players on their roster."

Sure enough, they didn't. Unless a couple transfers from other colleges on the roster originally played in Miss in high school. The program just showed the college they transferred for those two, rather than their high school.

Yes, I heard the same thing mentioned during the Cincy, WVU game or prior to the game on ESPN. I don't know what to think of Kennedy as a head coach, since he's more or less solely been a Huggins assistant. But, I think it's clear that the SEC has seen what an upgrade did for Tennessee... I'm support of it!

I guess the issue I see though, is that Ole Miss will always to me, seem to have a recruiting issue. Most folks from Miss want to play for Miss St., they've seemed to have more bball success, if they don't go right next door and play for LSU or 'Bama.

yeah true....but these days more miss. recruits will stay at home in state because calipari doesnt have to go too far outside of the memphis limits...a lot of good talent up there.

maybe, but those that stay in state are second best. calipari will get the ones he wants. there has always been a lot of talent in memphis, but cal has always recruited nationwide--few of his top players are actually from memphis.

So Ole Miss doesn't have any players from mississippi and LSU has 7 players just from Baton Rouge!
