One of the biggest differences I think is simply "Tigah Bait!" because a lot of LSU fans use it in place of saying "F@#! you Ole Miss!" because it's an LSU trademark. If we didn't have that I would bet we would hear a lot more problems of fans cursing out other fans...

When fans from other teams get upset when they get mobbed from Tiger Bait, it makes me want to scream.... It is the lightest form of harassment possible. Most opposing fans love to hear us scream it at them (yeah, when Tiger Band lines up to march to the stadium we yell it at opposing fans). Occasionally we will get the finger... but most of the time its just blushing and laughing.

The Tiger Bait thing gets old after you hear it all day though. I dont think people get offended by it as much as its just aggrevating. You walk by and theres a crew of drunk guys in your face yelling "Tiger Bait". Same can be said for the idiotic Hotty Toddy. Whoever said its mostly students who are drunk and disorderly is off too. I see a lot of grown men and women for that matter who are just embarassing. To me, there is not sense to say F**k at a football game. Or any other profane language for that matter. I always here the excuse, "I paid good money for this, if there gunna play like this, I have the right to yell". Ya, you have the right to yell, but there is no need for cursing or anything like that.

Scrap, how many times are you going to rehash the SAME exact thing, either on here, or on your show? It gets old buddy. <--- see, I can use those too.

Well JayB it was relevant at the time that I wrote that. It was topical if you will b/c the topic was about fan behavior. Well atleast you listen so I thank you for that. I mean I dont see how what I say gets old yet knocking Tulane fans and all that just never gets old whether is on here on or on radio.

Tulane is/was our main and traditional rival. It's relevant, but we ALL know how you feel about LSU fans, inparticular. Your show isn't as bad as most people make it out to be, and I think you have a great future ahead of you, but remember: this IS an LSU board, you think the regulars really want to hear you repeat the same things over and over? Sure, it's free-speech, but I don't think it's the best way to get your point across, IMO.

Everything I just said there was pertaining to the topic started by someone who felt it necessary to talk about other peoples fans. You can say whatever you want about me, but what I'm saying is not what you want to hear, but its what you need to hear. You know what, I've finally gotten to the point that I'm tired of being bashed on here by you guys for making objective points. As I said, I like you guys and LSU, but if your to sensitive to handle what I say then sorry. I'm gone. For guys like Tirk, I mean that this time. I'm done posting here. My opinon doesnt change, its still a great place to talk LSU sports, just not a place to talk objectively. Just remember, everytime you guys point a finger at some other "bad" fans, there will be 3 more pointing right back at you. My objective on this site was not to bash you guys.Personally I think your the most loyal and dedicated fans in the SEC. Bar none. It was simply to act as if I were a fan of whoever you were knockin and show you that even though you have all this stuff against them, they could have stuff against you. Everyone has faults. When you guys realize that, it will be a much more enjoyable place. So, you guys continue to go snoop on the Tulane board and make fun of Ole Miss, or Tulanes fans some more. Its how you get your kicks I see. Scrappy Out. Ohhh and Thanks for the compliment JayB:thumb:

Exactly! :thumb: And Scrap, none of us (maybe?) are really THAT naive to think LSU fans are angels. This is the SEC. Most REAL fans are MORE than aware of all of the "problems" with fans and whatnot.

    That’s not the whole story.

I was there. Ole Miss’ baseball stadium is different because it has it’s entire Left Field as it’s student section. The Texas fan (probably unknowingly) came right over and sat himself down. ---- But then again, how bright can a guy be to have his pregnant wife at a 97 degree baseball game - not to mention he was drunk and returning the comments, before his wife was insulted .

Could you imagine two Ole Miss fans, wearing red, and yelling Hotty Toddy to everyone, just walking into the student section of Tiger Stadium?

Not trying to justify it, and the Ole Miss students did start it - but they are drunk college kids - it happens.

Well, I live in a two-family house (just moved into the upstairs "apartment" with my fiance', but had previously shared the downstairs portion with my friend, who's a Texas grad) and when I moved from downstairs to the upstairs portion, an Ole Miss grad (graduated just this past semester and is up here going to grad school at Boston University) just moved in to take my place downstairs the other day.

As he's walking up the steps, he was greeted by an "LSU" welcome mat. He had previously seen digital photos of the place before seeing it in person, and in one of the photographs, in a spare room which I had converted into an "LSU room", he saw my 3 LSU helmets (2-authentic helmets--1 with the current logo and 1 with the '75 logo and a replica signed by the 2003 team) along with 2 mini helmets and coutless photos on the walls. So when he meets me, (I happened to be wearing my LSU hat) he says, "I've seen photos of all of your stuff. Since you're a hard-core LSU fan, I take it you hate my Ole Miss Rebels?" To which I candidly replied, "No. Not really. You guys suck too much for me to 'hate' you." He just laughed.

This morning, I put not one, but two fairly large magnetic purple and gold Tiger paws on his truck (both on the passengers side) and let him ride all around Boston before pointing it out to him when he came home. :hihi:

Man this is going to be a fun football season! :thumb: ...I keep trying to drum up some sort of rage in him, but it's just not coming out.... :( ;) I wanted to see if Ole Miss fans actually have passion in their school (like the original report stated). But so far, outside of pulling out an Ole Miss banner and showing it to me, he hasn't said much..... I'm sort of disappointed...

We lock up the torches and pitch forks until football season.
