Why did Russell Crowe lead the "Hotty Toddy" cheer before the game---I did not see this but that is what they said on the radio. Does he have any official connection to them?? How much money did they pay him to come and do the cheer. Do they need stars that are unrelatd to their school to come and fire them up? It just makes no sense to me. Also I think the LSU-Ole Miss game need to be moved back to the weekend closest to Halloween.
They get stars to lead the cheer each and every week... He did it on tape of course... I'm guessing that Mississippi native John Grisham might have used his ties to Hollywood to cajole Mr. Gladiator to get on tape and do that... Obviously not the best decision for him....We should leave him some tix to the Arkansas game at willcall on Friday...
A budy of mine that is an Ole Miss fan said that every week they have a different celebrity do the hot toddy cheer. He said they had Tom Brokaw and Snoop Doggie Dog earlier in the season. Apparently the whole stadium booed Dog.
So Crowe wasn't even there? That would make it extremely lame then. If he was actually at the game, it would be different. Snoop was at an actual game earlier in the year, right?
After hearing about Russell Crowe's personality from various sources, I could only image what it must have been like at the taping. Director: Okay, Russell -- I want you to say this cheer for the camera. Crowe: Hoddy-Toddy....what in f'n bloody hell does that mean? Director: We don't know -- just say it. Crowe: I'm not going to f'n say something if I f'n don't know what it f'n means!
