    I saw this today. I don't really care one or another, but they have apparently given in to the pressures. My cousin went to Ole Miss, and was actually one of the guys in the mascot uniform at football games, so I found it interesting.

    I guess they will be like Auburn now and have a neckname "rebel" with a Tiger Mascot. Plainsman, wareagle, tigers.

    They want a "more intimidating" mascot? How about Archie's face on the Col. Reb body. That'll scare the sh*t out of anybody.

    I think they should become the Ole Miss Fightin' Biscuits 'n' Gravy".

    It's a deep south tradition that everybody likes.

    How about the Ole Miss Rainbow Warriors? That would be perfect for them.

    The new mascot should be Moses, in honor of the fact that they've been lost in the desert for 40 years.

    I have eaten some great barbecue in Mississippi. Maybe they should change the name the the Ole Miss Barbecue Ribs.

    I think that they are just getting rid of the old man. They will still be the rebels. (No one will be intimidated... they are still the same ole' miss)
