One more reason this year reminds me of 1999.....

Indeed, and I agree with you. Just don't think we're at Dinardo levels, which is what OP implied. Nor do I think we are headed that way under Miles.

Of course we vastly underperformed this year. I didn't in my wildest dreams think we'd lose 5 games, but this is still light years better than 1999, considering the crystal and recruiting classes Les has brought to this school. As disappointing as this season has been, I think we are still in great shape as a program.

Did OU not go 7-6 two years ago? Did Bama not go 6-6 last year? Where are they now? We'll be back, don't worry.

I know we'll be back, but the last time a lot of us were this disappointed was back in '99 when we knew we had to get new coaches and there was nowhere to go but up.

Miles > Dinardo, but Tepper = Peveto and Mallory.

first time we have had a sub .500 record since 99. I never said Les Miles was at Dinardo level.

If Miles hasn't fired Mallory and Peveto by the end of next week, he will be coaching somewhere else in 2010.

The record right now is 7-5, right? Even if we lose the bowl game, we'll be 7-6, right? Both of those are above .500, right?

    Or am I missing something?

Think we are talking about the SEC record here.

I think he's not counting the 4 squash wins
