We're honoring one senior on Senior Day for basketball. And that senior has never been a starter, and is currently third string. What a joke.
so we should only honor our best players who are seniors and disregard all non contributing players we deem insignificant? hmm that wouldnt send a good message.
Thompson did start some his Freshmen year. When Torris wasn't getting it done he came in and really played well. He turned down schlorship offers to walk on at LSU. He provided quality depth for a long time until Mitchel and Whip came around. I will never forget "SHOOT IT CHARLIE"
The issue that I was addressing was not that he's a back-up. It's that 14 players have left the team in the 7 years Brady has coached. What kind of program, even with NCAA restrictions, do you expect to have when there is only one player on the team that plays four years?
When you get old and your body parts start wearing out, don't go to Dr. Thompson for your medicine, go to one of the other ex basketball players that you think is more deserving of your honors. Thompson very much deserves to be honored. Not only did he sacrifice his time to help the team but he kept his grades very high and will be entering medical school soon. When was the last time a medical student played basketball at LSU?
Even more reason to honor the guy. What a ridiculous post.
