I agree. Never met a more whiny fan base with Little-penis-itis. First, they came in with a chip on their shoulders because the big bad SEC team was overlooking/disrespecting them. Itried explaining that, it wasn't because they were from the Big Least, it was just because we were playing them at home at night and, because of our offensive woes, they very well could win. I was expecting more of them to be gracious to our pre-game hospitality, ala V. Tech fans. But most either were either rude or flat out annoyed us. Then, there were those that couldn't take a little good natured ribbing. Geez, what do you expect in an opponents stadium. Then the excuses. My gawd. I actually had one genius tell me that they would've won the game without PP's punt return? My response of course was 'But we DID have PP's punt return'. Not all, but most Mountaineer fans flat out sucked. You could learn a thing or 2 from the Hokies. :rolleye33::wave:
I was at the Car Care bowl, I have no idea what you're talking about. In fact I remember seeing like 0 fan interaction there, it was super lame and tame.
yeah they did make a lot of excuses. we need to remind them that if it weren't for our offensive mistakes they wouldn't have scored and that it didn't matter what plays they called, our defense schooled them. totally disappointed in their turnout. we had about 10 fans walk by us during the day we had 3 that stopped by us before the game and talked but one of them was from La. if i learned one thing from 2007 and this game it's: VT fans >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> WVU fans.
We could have been on opposite sides of the stadium. It was great until the last half of the walk back to the car.
You won't hear any excuses from this WVU fan - you all won fair and square. We made far too many mistakes and should have lost by a few more. I am pretty surprised to hear that there were this many bad WVU fan experiences - everyone I saw seemed to be getting along fine, but I guess we do have our share of the a-holes that ruin it. Not surprised that they get the attention and not the good ones. Disappointed in the turnout? I guess it could have been better but we travel will and I am sure we had well over a thousand (there were 750 WVU fans at the Atlanta Alumni tailgate near the stadium alone), not bad for an out of conference game 17 hours from home. Anyway, had a great time and loved the tailgating and tigerbaiting. Best of luck to you and hope to see you guys next year.
If he is a sore loser then he is also psychic. That thread was started before the game and hasn't been posted in since the game was over.
I didn't see any buttheads like the guy from the other thread but I was suprised at how standoffish they were. It was like they were late for court. Only a few wanted to stop and party. Didn't have any near me in the stadium. The only whining I heard was from LSU fans.
Reminds me of what Dalton said in Road House, "Those who go out looking for trouble are no match for someone who is prepared for it”. Hope southwvboy finds what he's looking for and gets a good ass whipppin.
