People start threads because they think they have a unique, particularly salient point of view that deserves maximum exposure. Even the most minuscule differentiation drives new threads. Heck, I should have started a thread about why people start new threads. Now, if others follow my line of thought, I am guilty of trying to hijack this thread. What to do?

I just look at the title, look to see who started the thread, and look who was the last to respond, then I open those that look promising.

Mods, is it possible to relax the requirement that some users read all threads? :hihi:
No surprise since it's from Deceks, this is the best approach to perusing a bunch of threads. I hate it when I post in a bunch of threads (typically when I'm either bored or particularly jazzed up about something) because I hate checking them over again to see if there's a good counterpoint to mine (admittedly rare) or something I need to correct.

IT would be a good idea because most of the time any of us call out players or coaches, after a few days, we end up not feeling as pissy...

I just don't think it'll work because most of the time, posts made in anger or disgust are put in the main forum because if you're at the point of needing to vent, you don't go looking for the correct folder--you just want to hurry and vent.

LOL exactly, the old boy cant stand anyone critique ing ( sp? ) game play. Just no room for arm chair QB's in sabanfan's world.

( nothing personal SF just know how you hate to hear the negative stuff )

Actually, I hate to read the stupid negative stuff. If it wasn't for those, I'd only have about 2500 posts.

BrettStah: I agree. Right now you have to wade through too many pages to get to the actual game thread (which I rarely open anyway because people get too worked up over what's happening at the moment, rather than waiting until things play out).

I don't even open half of the threads around here.
