Two Words: Major Applewhite

I grew up in Baton Rouge, never giving much of a thought to texas. Having lived here in Texas for the past 21 years, though, I have steadily grown to dislike texas university more and more. It has to do, somewhat, with the arrogance of the alums, many of whom I have worked with and for. Of course, it also has a bit to do with the fact that I got my MBA from Texas A&M. But, if I had to pick a single thing that put my hatred of texas university over the top, I would have to say it was the treatment received by my fellow Catholic High alum, Major Applewhite...

 

I've heard a lot about the arrogance of Texas fans but havent seen it personally. I dont like aTm because of my years at the LSU vet school. I met a ton of aTm grads who were in grad school at LSU and had nothing but bad things to say. It really got old but the funny part to me was that they are the ones who chose to go to LSU and graduate from there.

 

They had nothing but bad things to say about what? LSU? Is LSU's vet school relatively easy to gain admittance to? The A&M vet school is very, very, difficult to get in. My daughter wants to attend vet school at A&M when the time comes. Perhaps she will do her undergrad at A&M and then go to LSU for grad (vet) school! - just the opposite of Dad...

Yes, bad things to say about their school of choice...LSU. And no, it's not easy to get in to.

 

Then by all means fill me in. What I remember Miami (OH) for is they are one of the few teams that haven't backed out on us when scheduled.
