THat is exactly what im talking about thorny - it is a pass-back for the beat the hell outta ___ yell. It is exactly like the thing you described except w/o the middle finger. I havent missed an aggie home game since 2000 and I used to go to school there so i know what im talking about. Im sorry that you were offended by it (and trust me you arent the first) but its not what you think it is. Oh and BTW, any time that you can make it to college station I will buy you at ticket to a game so that you can see up close what im taking about.
It's not hard to find tickets as Aggy averaged more than 8,000 below capacity and did not have one single sellout this year.
1. USC 2. Miami 3. Notre Dame 4. Auburn (I don't care if they're not OOC) 5. Auburn (I REALLY don't care if they're not OOC)
Texan, My point is that if I weren't the first offended by it, why does the university continue to encourage such a gesture? If it can easily be misunderstood, it will be. That's why there was no discussion when Tiger Rag was dropped, even though the band had nothing to do with the cheer starting. But the Texas A&M University administration apparently doesn't care what others think of their school. In some ways that's admirable, but I would not want to try to defend that particular gesture in public--there's no way to win. That's why, no matter the quality of individuals who attend A&M, they will always be considered backwards. In my career, I have met several ROTC grads from A&M. Most are fine individuals; a small few are not--just like any university. But again, my point is that my beef is not with individuals, but with the school administration. I guess we will have to agree to disagree. Maybe someday I will take you up on your kind offer. Peace. GEAUX TIGERS
I agree - reasonable people can agree to disagree sometimes. Hit me up anytime a game in CS interests you.
