seems a lot of people might have had more sympathy for cleveland losing a player if gilbert had kept his yap shut. :rolleye33:
it's just so funny how the same guy who called Lebron "Benedict Arnold" wanted Tom Izzo to be the same Benedict and abandon his home of more than 7 years to be Cleveland's coach. With a schmuck like Byron Scott at the helm, they will have plenty chances to draft in the upper half of the Top 10 for years to come.
I never thought about that, but you're right. It's amazing the hypocrisy that has been flaming since Thursday night. I was watching The Sports Reporters on ESPN this morning and they were all bashing LeBron for the class-less way he left Cleveland. That he rubbed it in Cleveland's face with the hour long special on his decision. Uhhhh, hello dumb phucks!!! You're network aired the special. Even dumbass Lupika said that Cleveland had the team to win it all this year and it was an upset that they didn't! It's amazing they let any dumb phuck speak on their network.
And another thing they were bashing LeBron on was the fact he didn't let Cleveland know he was leaving. Well teams don't let players know that they're about to be cut or traded. Or when us common folk get fired from a job, the boss doesn't let us know. So I have no problem with LeBron not letting that idiot Gilbert know beforehand.
And it's not like he knew that he was leaving during the past month or so. He had the nerve at least not to let them find out like the rest of the world watching "The Decision"
Does anybody think Cleavland would have still remained loyal to Lebron if he had finished out his career with them and never won anything? When Cleavland was losing to Boston, the Cleavland 'fans' were booing Lebron and their beloved Cavs team. And, Dan Gilbert is a Michigan State grad who would have destroyed his alma mater's basketball program if he had lured Izzo away from Michigan State. Where's the loyalty to your school? Or, how about firing Mike Brown and Dan Ferry? Where's the loyalty to those guys? I think a large part of why Lebron didn't communicate with Cleavland organization more at the end was because he didn't want to tip his hand to them where they expected him to return if they made those moves. Lebron is in a can't-win situation. When he doesn't respond to Cleavland, he gets killed. But, if he had and they fired Brown and Ferry, then he would have been killed even more than that.
NBA owners obviously don't have to periodically pee in the bottle. Otherwise Gilbert would be in big trouble. Must be some good stuff he's on.
gilbert fined for his remarks. considering how unprofessional he was about it all, serves him right. James’ ‘Decision’ earns rebuke from Stern - NBA - Yahoo! Sports but i had no idea the good reverend jackson stuck his nose into all of this. really? give me a freakin break. jackson is just as big an idiot as gilbert.
