Opening morning way better than expected

Birds have been really inconsistent but they been flying this morning. Got our 45 before 8 this morning. Still plenty flying in should have a decent shoot tomorrow too. Hopefully that doesn't jinx it. They on ice till tonight pic much later.

Why does anybody need to kill 45 birds. The feds should step in and stop this senseless slaughter of innocent songbirds. They belong to the government, not the people

 

30 of the 45. Had my oldest boy sittin with me he's still not quite ready to shoot yet but he had a blast going and getting them especially the ones that were still flopping.

 

nice mess there man. thats some good eatin. do you just pull the breasts out or pluck em clean.

 

Just breast em when gettin a bunch to grill. I'll usually pluck a handful to cook in a gravy though

Well he thinks he is. Can't hold up the gun yet. He's got a 22 and a 410 but he's just not physically there yet to handle them safely.

 

When I was 6 my grandfather would let me hold his 20 gauge while he pointed it at the ducks and let me pull the trigger.

 

Morning 2 little slower but still good. 38 before church
