kinda funny, but gimme a break. USC played their best game of the year. OU played their worst game of the year. That would be like Ashlee making it to the final round of American Idol. We all know that she wouldn't make the 1st round cut.
I would have never done it had LSUGradin99 not pointed out how OU fans are still downing LSU fans. I was pulling for you guys, but it was an abysmal performance. If you guys play USC 10 times, you probably win 3 if your WR does not do his best to hand the game over to USC.
I was just giving you a hard time. Out of 10 times. USC wins 6. We just had to have our worst game of the year Tuesday night of all times. 5 stupid turnovers. Ridiculous. 4 in the 1st half. Our guys apparently gave up after the 3rd one. USC played hard and mistake free. They deserved it.
I am not saying OU would get their asses kicked everytime. But I do think USC had better athletes and better speed along with a defense that was much quicker upfront then you expected.
Maybe, Maybe not. We stopped their 1st drive quite easily and forced them to punt. We march 82 yards and score. Then they march down the field and score. Next we punt. Then we force them to punt. Everything is pretty even so far except we F up their punt and give them an easy TD. Then JW throws that stupid INT. It just snowballs downhill from there. They got the momentum. We don't. We just keep giving it to them. We can't recover. Our gives give up. Yeah they are fast and they got great athletes. So do we. Too bad we all didn't get to see a good game. I really thought we would recover from that botched fumbled punt until JW started throwing stupid INTs. He threw 3. He almost had 5. I'm really disappointed in his play the most. A 6th year senior that was in perfect health and came back for this one very game. Anyway, we screwed up. USC kicked our asses. Kudos to them. They are National Champions. My hat goes off to them. I don't want to get into an argument or defend the Sooners. We sucked Tuesday night and deserved what we got.
I don't think USC had better athletes than OU, but clearly they were as good. If you noticed, Reggie Bush (their 'fastest' player) was caught from behind at least 2 times - something they say has never happened to him since he's been at USC. OU is not as bad as they played Tuesday, but USC is that good. I think Stoops got outcoached by a wide margin. Their defense (Carroll had good Ds in NFL and now college) outplayed OU, but also executed their gameplan to near perfection. I knew their offense would shred OU's D - too much talent on the field and too much genius calling the plays. I thought they'd go for about 30-35, but OU kind of layed down after the thrid quarter didn't produce a turn around. Out of 10 times, on a neutral site, I think it's about 6/4 USC. OU's O-line won't play that poorly every game, nor will their D-line, nor will their QB, nor will their RB...but you have to admit USC had a large part in that poor play initially.
