Yes, i noticed that too. Just passing along the info, but despite a couple mistakes O seems to be doing enough good things for people to start warming on his hire. It's extremely early to give him a grade, but i really like the staff so far.
If we had paid $6 mill for someone and they made the exact same moves everyone would be talking about how smart LSU was. Really should be 5-0 going into Crucible One - 3 weeks of @Gayturds, Assburns, and @Old Piss. Then we'll know.
Here's a question for you and please give me an honest answer without the sarcasm if you can. It's Ed Orgeron that takes over for Saban at LSU in 2005. You don't think O would have had a national championship here? I'm fairly confident Orgeron could have had at least 1. Les Miles inherited a team that was absolutely loaded and basically recruited itself for a few years.
Sad thing is miles or almost any coach could have had multiple with the talent we had for the last several years. Just take your hands off the O reigns!!! Let the coaches do what they want to do don't input your hard headed run run run, oh its 3rd and long then throw then kick ideals. Change a little that would have done it, and frankly that is why miles isn't here any more. He couldn't do this or refused to do this.
Coach O benifitted greatly from his tenure at USC, from Carol O learned a new way to be a head coach and even his year off may have been essential to digest those lessons. While O may have done well in 2005 as HC at LSU then, he is a better HC today as a result of having taken the road he took.
I can't wait to see what comebacks Taint has next year when he's getting his nuts kicked in on this board when O and Tigers are actually Playing to their potential and winning games like they should.
With you on this one there folks on this board that will turn on O quicker than Fast Eddie Felson can runthe table in a nine ball game.
Personally I think there are about 50 other coaches who could have come here and won at least 1 championship when Saban left.
