Fantastic link. THANK YOU! Yeah, I didn't buy the negatigers here who acted like he had a "tough road" if I remember the phrase correctly. That was obviously sheep poop and said so at the time (not quite in those graphic words but questioned the person's "information").

Here is one reason why I suspected that info was bogus. "The 6-foot-6, 300-pounder was first classified as a 2016 recruit, but then changed to 2015 when it was determined he could qualify this year." So let me get their bizarre logic straight. A guy has a "tough road" to get qualified but magically he is close enough to be qualified that he was able to actually move forward 1 year academically (from 2016 class to 2015 class). Oh wait, that makes perfect sense. And once again, the question was not having taken the ACT (join the club of most prospects) and about his Nigerian credits. Once again, if his credits were soooooo questionable then what is the explanation for him moving forward one class from 2016 to 2015. Bottom line....these "experts" were blowing smoke and showed their ignorance of the situation.

I fully expect CVO to be eligible this fall for LSU. As far as his coach being surprised at choosing LSU, that was interesting. Because he and T Valentine (no relation) were known to be close. That is why I predicted that Weathersby, Robertson, or CVO would be Tigers....just glad it ended up being more than 1 of them :)

What was troubling was the notion that his road was tough because of that Nigerian education, as if it were substandard. In actuality, in modern Nigeria the education system is much more challenging than most systems here. Probably why he was able to move up a year. Good find.

Yeah, what was pretty funny was that the supposed academic issues were brought up by fans of the teams that he decided NOT to sign with. Alabama was interested...Auburn was obviously interested. So yeah, they had to come up with some crapola as to why he chose LSU. Laughably, they start attacking the guy's academics for no reason. Can you say "spin"? I agree with you, the Nigerian educational system is fine....T Valentine is Nigerian....Robert N Nigerian....Denzel N Nigerian...Prince Tega Nigerian, etc, etc, etc.

IF you're referring to what I've posted on this thread you've mischaracterized what I said. I made a point several times he was a smart kid but there were issues interpreting his transcripts...which was creating hesitancy from teams recruiting him

Again, making up shit to fit your narrative.

    Nkemdiche was born in Atlanta.

    His parents immigrated from Nigeria.

You would know this IF you bothered to look things up...but, no.

Attacking him? Your lying through your teeth now. But, go ahead and hide...we can still see who and what you are.

LSU’s freshman class is slated to report to school for its first summer session this weekend. One touted member of the highly rated class may not be among them.

Chidi Valentie-Okeke, a late-January surprise commitment for the Tigers and the No. 5 offensive tackle in the class, won’t arrive on campus this weekend, according to a report from 247sports.com. Per 247, Valentine-Okeke is still waiting for the NCAA Clearinghouse to accept his ACT score. If his score doesn’t qualify him, he’ll have another opportunity to take the test on June 13.

Valentine-Okeke is one of five offensive linemen that LSU signed in 2015, so the Tigers won’t have an issue with depth even without him. He was the second-highest rated among those prospects, behind only Maea Teuhema. Valentine was a high school teammate of Travonte Valentine, a four-star signee in 2014 who didn’t see the field last year.

Looks like three freshmen will not report this summer.

Brandon Martin, a three-star prospect from Missouri, has enrolled at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and will not play at LSU in the fall, team spokesman Michael Bonnette confirmed.

Offensive tackle Chidi Valentine-Okeke and defensive back Jeremy Cutrer are not expected to enroll this weekend with other freshmen, multiple sources confirmed.

Valentine Okeke, a five star defensive tackle who is originally from Nigeria, and Cutrer, a three-star junior college prospect from Louisiana, have not been cleared by the NCAA and won’t join others in beginning summer school on Monday.

LSU Signing Class reports this weekend

Most of LSU's 2015 signing class will report to campus for the start of summer classes Monday, but three signees won't make it this weekend.

Most of LSU's 2015 signing class will officially begin their collegiate careers Monday with the start of summer classes. But three signees from that group won't make it to Baton Rouge this weekend.

Offensive lineman Chidi Valentine-Okeke, defensive back Jeremy Cutrer and wide receiver Brandon Martin are not yet clear to enroll at LSU, and won't report with the rest of the class this weekend. Most will move to campus on Saturday, though some already reported Friday.

Valentine-Okeke is the biggest of the group, though his status had always been questionable. Originally from Nigeria, he moved to Florida in high school as a recruit in the 2016 class. He reclassified to a 2015 recruit and moved to a charter school in Georgia for his final year of high school.

There have been conflicting reports whether it's his ACT score holding him back or if the NCAA is concerned with his transcripts from Nigeria. Regardless the reason, Valentine-Okeke won't make it to LSU this weekend, and it's questionable whether he'll make it in time for the fall.

Cutrer continues to battle with academic issues. He initially committed to LSU as part of the 2013 class but didn't sign because he didn't have the grades to qualify. He spent two seasons at Mississippi Gulf Coast but hoped to enroll this past spring. He still wouldn't be eligible, and those issues persist into the summer.

LSU never expected to have Martin for this season. Originally from Monroe, Martin moved to Dallas for his senior year to play at the Prime Prep Academy, which has since closed down. LSU signed him with the intentions of placing him at MGCC, and Martin spent the past semester there. The earliest Martin could arrive in Baton Rouge is the spring of 2016, which would make him a member of LSU's 2016 signing class.

We'll continue to monitor the academic situations with these three signees through the summer to provide updates whether they'll be a part of the team in the fall.

Most of the word coming out is that he just needs to raise his ACT and it may have been flagged for a more than 3 point jump from the last time he took it.
