OUBoards.com wouldn't let me register

I tried to register for the sole purpose of thanking the OU fans for being class acts in New Orleans. Going into the game, I thought that the OU people would be acting like a bunch of hillbillies or something. Coming out of the Dome, I had a different opinion of them. In fact, they were pretty well behaved the entire weekend and were respectful of our program.

So why is it that the few OU boards I have tried to register on won't let me? In the soonerfans case, I got a message that my email address had been banned. My email address has "geaux" in it, so I suspect that was the problem. I guess I'll never be able to register on any of those sites for that simple reason. Ok, well, your loss. Guess I won't be able to share my thanks with OU people.

She even deleted a few of my posts that were in no way dissing OU.

Over there at OUboards.com they are trying to say that LSU has the worst fans and that they never want to play another football game with LSU because of the way the fans acted...

Some of the more interesting "incidents" that they said happened...

    1) An LSU fan hit an OU fan in the head with a crobar. In the head. With a crobar. In the head.

    2) An LSU fan slapped an elderly person in a bar

    3) Same LSU fan in #2 also hit another patron of said bar with a mug and broke his nose.

    4) Numerous accounts of LSU fans cornering elderly people and screaming at them.

Apparently OU has linked some LSU fans to the theft of Coach Stoops wife's laptop.

While gracious, for the most part, on the outside, they are poor sports and their ego's are huge. They get their asses handed to them in the National Championship game and they beat their chests about having 7 titles.

It's sad to say, but with what Kansas St. did to them and, more importantly, what LSU did to them, Oklahoma is no longer a dominating force. Teams will be prepared for that offense.

I'd bet my paycheck that White gets yanked before seasons end next year. This year was a fluke statistically.

I registered a long time ago with the OU board I see the link has been taken off rival forums but I haven't posted anything.

Oklahoma was very arrogant about their football team they didn't give us a prayer (coaches, team and fans) and have been taking their loss= out on LSU fans and the city of New Orleans

    They are some poor sports

Their fans laughed at me on the plane ride down to N.O. because I had the balls to say it would be a close game. They would not look me in the eye on the way home even when I would say "good game sooner". All I can say to the sooner fans that can't handle their loss is "GET OVER IT AND LEARN TO BE GRACIOUS IN A LOSS".

Right on ... that cocky monkey we threw peanuts at for a month ... wutzhizname ... Peebody is typical of these clowns ... coming in here predicting 47 points being scored on LSU ... and he was the norm.

OU is DONE ... as in stick a fork in 'em DONE ... for at least 2 more years until they get a real QB developed ... not this lame crippled fool who stole the Heisman trophy.

BANK IT ... I'm gonna stay in Tahiti & Rangiroa (French Polynesia) for almost an entire month in January 2005 with my winnings betting against Jason White & OU this fall.

I had heard many Sooner fans complain here at home and on the boards about how ugly they had been treated in NO by the LSU fans. Even though I didn't believe most of it, I still thought it would be neighborly to apologize to them.
So I wrote an apology and signed it, "A misplaced displaced Coonass in Okieville." I went back later to see the response and the moderator had changed "Okieville" to "Oklahoma"and said, "We can say Okie but you can't." Somebody else said, " I see by the term "Okieville", you're biased.". I couldn't believe it! I took back my apology and said, "If any of those things happened, it was probably because of the snooty-nosed, better than us attitude you all have had since before the game. You got everything you deserved, on and off the field!".
I went back the next day and they had kicked me off.
Here is a quote from Sooners Illustrated. I think it to be synonomous with the general attitude of Sooners toward us.
"My first impressions of the LSU fans after a weekend in NO are not favorable. Indeed I have come to the conclusion that 3/4 of their fans are retarded, possible due to the excessive alcohol consumption killing their brain cells. About 1/8 are just "slow". The other 1/8 are ok. On balance, I'd have to say that they are the most vile opposing fans I have ever had the displeasure to encounter. Worse than KSU fans. Worse than Colorado fans. And yes, worse than Texas fans. They are rude, obnoxious and mostly drunk."
I really haven't gotten one positive report on our fans up here. But I've been here for 26 yrs. and I know what sorry assed losers these people are, so I try to take it all with a grain of salt. But they have managed to take some of the joy out winning the NC for me. I wish now we had not played them.

    GEAUX TIGERS!!!!

LSU, 2003, BEST IN THE NATION AND THE SEC!!!

The funniest thing is that when they talk about how LSU fans beat people and actually commit crimes, none of the "victims" ever call the police, all they usually do is write letters to the editor of the paper or letters to Sports Illustrated.

It's almost like when you talk about them losing to us they raise a finger as if to say, "Ahh, not so fast, if your team played one of our other championship teams, you'd have lost..."

    Ass hats, all of them.

I'm going to laughing my ass off come December when OU isn't playing for the Big 12 Title and their record is a lowly 7 - 5.

    Honestly,
I think they do it on purpose to try to bring our program down.

The lure and loudness of our stadium and fans is mythical it's exciting and it helps us recruit big time. We have had the top recruiting class the last few years.

Some programs know they will never have they passion, history fans, stadium we have so they try tear us down. Some schools know they'll never be able to compete in those departments which are the 12th man in games sometimes

Next time they start that B$ about our fans I'm going on the offensive to their boards and newspapers reporting any thing I see at home and away games.
    They better watch it!

I was amazed I only saw 4 OU fans with the wagon head thing. What would it take to make them dresss up a little more for a game you know?

I thought LSU showed more spirited fans against Louisiana Tech than OU did for the NC.
I didn't find the fans very creative.

Sorry that happened to you. I can honestly say that I didn't hear one complaint from OU fan while in NOLA for this game. I am sure that some could complain. I actually hung with a Sooner chick and her impartial boyfriend who graduated UF a few years ago. he lives in DC and loves the city. She lives in Dallas and went to Loyola law. I have a feeling that a lot of people up your way are just running their mouths and did not go to the game. To be sure, there were probably some incidents, but New Orleanians and Louisianians are typically pretty respectful of others unless you start some crap first. I had no problems with any OU fans, although I am 35 and I keep a relatively low profile as much as possible.
