Our new chant from the LSU players..."We goin' to the 'ship"

They were having a great time and I say good for them- they earned it.

 

We goin' to the 'ship?

Is this short for going to the championship? I don't get why this is funny

...or offensive for that matter.

 

who gives a ship!.....haha? you see what i did there, no...i'll stop

Hey, its a bunch of kids that just found out that their gonna play for a NC. I don't blame them one bit, if it wasn't, fun why would you even bother playing!
BTW, my wife and I both watched it, and we couldn't figure out what they were saying till the end. I did notice however that the celebration subsided and got businesslike very quickly.

You think I had a problem with them celebrating?
I was embarrased for our institution with the shortening of the word championship.
It sounded,well......

 

I suppose they should have chanted "We are going to the Bowl Championship Series Championship Game." Can't shorten anything. That is probably what Notre Dame will chant next time they make it.

 

They'll never get the chance.
