question For some reason the following incident is bouncing around in my head. Is this true or false? Does anyone remember the details around this incident/rumor? Anyone remember an incident some years back where a potential recruit (I think from South Texas) sent his friend on the recruiting trip to try to embarass LSU? I think that he was already going to like A&M. And apparently Saban thought his friend was the recruit. Or something like that... Anyone remember an incident even remotely similar to this? My point is that I tend to agree with J_oats. I don't think that Saban gets too involved with recruits.
