Well - I was wrong The Ducks have opened a 1 1/2 to 2 point favorite I will watch how this line holds but the guys that make a living making lines are giving the Ducks huge respect. The Duck attack !! wow It is a real put your money down line and it's hard for me not to put a couple of 1000 cokes down on the game but those days are gone forever !!!!
To those guys, lines are about balancing the bets, not predicting football outcomes. They make their money from the vig, so they just want to be able to pay off the winners.
Red you know those guys are very good at getting a feel for the true line if they make a stupid line they can get killed I am thinking LSU by 10 but they are giving me 1 1/2 they have a reason
They get killed if the can't pay off the winners, this is why they balance bets. I agree that the analysts among them know football pretty well, but the line rises and falls depending on how people are placing bets. Yeah, I know. But the reason is making money from football bets, not predicting outcomes. They can drive the betting with the line.
