    Brees now 27 of 32 for 311 yards, 3 TDs, 0 int. Not bad for a has-been.

i reserve the right to hate him again very soon. i dont trust him. he will fumble or start to suck again any time now.

He was starting to turn the corner last year, and was running very well before the hand injury.....but no running backs ever put up big numbers in Payton's offense.

    Except tonight... 168 yards

172 officially, but that's splitting hairs.

Posted this in the other Saints thread, but wtf, I'll post it here too. Brees was 6/6 for 142 and 2TDs coming off play action. Just goes to show how a consistent running attack helps Drew out.
We're basically unbeatable when we can run like that. And fuck what Seattle says - WE have the best home field advantage in all of football. I just wish we could find that level of effort on the road.

I didn't hear this quote directly, but I've heard references to Rob Ryan saying he simplified the defense coming out of the bye week. Seems to be having some desirable effects.....6 sacks and 5 turnovers in the past two games. We will win some football games if the defense can consistently do that.

That's exactly what he's done. He quit trying to get all fancy with his schemes and the results are no coincidence.
