I read that Arizona is not only an open carry state, a person can carry concealed, within the state. This, provided the gun is legally owned. https://www.yahoo.com/news/passing-driver-kills-man-attacking-arizona-trooper-road-083744215.html
Don't you think it's a good thing that a citizen was able to save the life of the trooper and not find himself in legal difficulty?
He skeered of Tom, Dick and Harry walking around with guns. Agree or not, it's understandable. He knew this thread went up specially for him.
No buts, I own guns man. I don't feel comfortable having my kid or my niece and nephews around strangers that carry them in public but I'm pro gun.
Some of them even shoot Troopers. I will say that living in Arizona, I have seen State Troopers pulled over helping motorists more often than I have seen then pulling over motorists. Once while changing a tire, one pulled over and practically pulled me off the tire to let him change it. I finished the change myself, but when he saw I that a wire from the tire stuck my hand and I was bleeding, he sprinted back to his SUV for the first aid kit. I told him I had duct tape in the trunk, but the dude insisted on disinfecting it and putting on a bandage. The speed limit is more of a suggestion than the rule, as long as you're not weaving like an idiot or doing 90 mph. When they do pull you over, there is no attempt to intimidate you. They're courteous, approachable and very friendly. I can't say the same things about Troopers in Louisana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida.
