The NCAA website has updated the list of past champions to include 2003. http://www.ncaa.com/champadmin/ia_football_past_champs.html Notice how many more places recognize LSU than USC.
If I remember correctly (unfortunately I do) LSU won the 2003 National Championship game. The only championship USC won was the Pac10.
i think Matthews is in love with USC and he wants to have their babies according to him, USC is going for a 3-peat this year
""" Since 1998, the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) operated jointly by the ACC, Southeastern, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten and Pacific-10 Conferences has used a ranking system to determine the number one and number two teams at the end of the season. These two teams play each other in a post-season bowl game for the BCS national championship """ That seems to say it all....... :champs:
2003 LSU: BCS, Billingsley, Colley, DeVold, Dunkel, FACT, Massey, NFF, Sagarin, Seattle Times, USA/ESPN Southern California: AP, Eck, Matthews, NY Times 2002 Ohio State: AP, BCS, Berryman, Billingsley, Colley, DeVold, Eck, FACT, FB News, FW, Massey, NFF, NY Times, Seattle Times, Sporting News, USA/ESPN, Wolfe Southern California: Dunkel, Matthews, Sagarin So it was a split national championship LAST YEAR TOO!!!! The only difference is USC got the "most popular" vote of the AP... The one extra poll that they won vs. 2002, when they "won" only three THEN WHY DIDN'T THEY MAKE A BIG STINK ABOUT IT IN 2002 ????? WHY DIDN'T THEY BUCK THE BCS THEN ?????? :cuss:
