Yes but remember he is only a Soph. I started a thread after the Oregon game (Tyrann Matheiu for Heisman.... 2012) in hopes that if he gets enough chatter THIS YEAR that I believe he will be invited to NYC next year.

I am really happy to hear the national talking heads bringing his name up so much now. This is a good sign so early in the season.

The kid is such a natural play-maker. All he needs is some space on the Punt Returns and he will take 1-2 to the House this year. Next year, he will have so much Pre-Season hype that he should be considered a front-runner on everyone's list.

    GEAUX T-REX!

I hear what you're saying, but you're not understanding it: There has NOT been a Heisman trophy winning defensive player other than Charles Woodson. And Michigan had him playing both ways and as a returner.

Again, it doesn't matter how many years T-Rex has left. Smart money is that he won't sniff a top 3 finalist. That's NOT to say I'm NOT rooting for him to win it....but the writing on the wall says he honestly has no shot.

Again, PP ruffled some feathers for awhile, but ultimately, he faded back to the "hyped-for-the-Heisman" pack.

TM7 will almost surely challenge for a finalist in every defensive award he's elligible to win though.

Taylor was very good last year up to his injury. We don't lose to the Piggies if Taylor's healthy. Press your gas pedal. Mo isn't just making a name for himself. He had a stellar season last year. He's a known commodity. This isn't taking ANYTHING from TM7. He is a pure beast. But based on play, 3 games or 10, the entire secondary is on beast mode and they're all playing like the best at their respective positions.

Don't be shocked to see Mo win the Thorpe ahead of TM7.

Agreed. Claiborne has himself slotted as the first corner taken right now in the draft, and Brandon Taylor is a flexible safety with great instincts and tackles well. He'll be highly drafted. Tyrann's a monster, though, and if you strictly talk collegiate careers it will be hard to argue against him. With that said, Tyrann benefits from Mo and BT and the others in the secondary allowing Chavis to use him all over the field. It really is synergy.

oh im with you on Mo. Im talking nationally. He's still working his way in the homes of your average fan. If this defense was in Birmingham it may already be dubbed the greatest defense in the history of football. ot should i say tuscaloosa.

When bama plays a run first / short passing offense they are called a "ball control offense".
When lsu plays the same offense, with similar numbers , their offense is called anemic.

When bama' offense fails to deliver, it's that the players didn't follow the expert game plan.
When lsu's offense fails to deliver, miles was out coached.

When bama's offense doesn't produce a lot of points, it's by design. It's" an eat up the clock" game plan.

When lsu's offense fails to produce a lot of points , it's an under achieving anemic offense with no idenity.

When bama doesn't pass for two hundred yards, it's bama power running designed offense.

When lsu doesn't pass for two hundred yards, it's because we have no qb.

When saban beats lsu, he outcoached our dumbasz coach.

When miles beats bama, he got lucky.

What I ask is why two teams that look like twin brothers on the field could have the media come up with two diffrent opinions of their preformance?

    Another:

Bama's QB gets sacked; it's because of their opponents defense
LSU QB gets sacked; it's because the QB is mediocre

Agreed. This will all change when:

Les beats Nick Satan at home THIS year.
(Les > Nick rumblings start nation-wide)

Les CREAMS Nicky Satan in BR next year.
(Les and LSU > Little Nicky)

After a three-peat people nation-wide will finally learn the truth we always knew:

LSU MADE NICK INTO A "GREAT COACH."
    (not the other way around)

LSU IS GREATER THAN ANY COACH!
